Cần 4–6 câu: quan điểm → lý do → ví dụ → (mặt còn lại hoặc kết luận).
- Lỗi phổ biến: trả lời Part 3 chỉ bằng trải nghiệm cá nhân (“I like…, I don’t like…”) thay vì nói về people, children, society.
Dàn ý trả lời nhanh
| Phần | Khung ý | Từ nối gợi ý |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1 | Trả lời thẳng → vì sao → khi nào/ví dụ nhỏ | I’d say…, because…, That said… |
| Part 3 | Quan điểm → 2 lý do hoặc 2 mặt → ví dụ ở Việt Nam → kết | First… Second…, On the other hand…, For example… |
Bài mẫu Speaking Part 1 chủ đề Music
1. Do you like listening to music?
Yes, definitely. I’d say music is a big part of my daily routine. I usually put on some music while I’m commuting, because it makes the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City a lot more bearable.
2. What kind of music do you like?
I’m really into acoustic pop – you know, songs with just a guitar and a voice. I find it quite soothing, especially after a long day. That said, when I’m working out, I switch to something more upbeat to keep me going.
3. When do you usually listen to music?
Mostly in the evenings and on my way to work. I’ve also got into the habit of listening to instrumental music when I study, because songs with lyrics tend to distract me.
4. Did you learn to play a musical instrument as a child?
I did, actually. My parents sent me to piano lessons when I was about eight, but to be honest, I gave up after a couple of years because I found practising scales really tedious. Looking back, I kind of regret it.
5. Has the way people listen to music changed in recent years?
Absolutely. A decade ago, people still bought CDs or downloaded songs one by one, whereas now almost everyone streams music on their phones. It’s far more convenient, although I think we tend to skip songs much more quickly than before.
So sánh với câu trả lời band 5.5 (câu 2)
I like pop music. Pop music is very good and relaxing. I listen pop music every day. Sometimes I listen rock music also.
Câu trả lời này đúng chủ đề nhưng: lặp lại pop music ba lần, dùng từ chung chung (very good), thiếu giới từ (listen to pop music) và các câu rời rạc, không có lý do hay tình huống cụ thể. Bản band 7+ nêu rõ thể loại (acoustic pop), giải thích bằng cảm nhận (soothing) và thêm một ý đối lập bằng That said.
Bài mẫu Speaking Part 3 chủ đề Music
1. Why do you think music is important in people’s lives?
I think music matters for two main reasons. First, it has a powerful effect on our emotions – a cheerful song can lift your mood almost instantly, while a slow one can help you unwind. Second, music brings people together. If you think about weddings, festivals or even football matches, music is what creates a shared atmosphere and makes those occasions memorable.
2. Should music be a compulsory subject in schools?
I’d say it should be compulsory at primary level, but optional later on. Young children benefit enormously from singing and playing simple instruments, since it helps develop their memory and coordination. However, older students already face heavy academic pressure, so forcing them to study music could do more harm than good. It makes more sense to offer it as an elective.
3. How has technology changed the music industry?
It has transformed the industry in almost every way. On the positive side, streaming platforms have made it possible for independent artists to reach a global audience without signing with a major record label. On the other hand, many musicians complain that streaming pays them only a tiny fraction of what they used to earn from album sales, so making a living from music has arguably become harder.
4. Do you think traditional music will disappear in the future?
I don’t think it’ll disappear completely, but it may become less mainstream. In Vietnam, for example, traditional forms such as cải lương are rarely heard on the radio nowadays. That said, some young artists have started blending traditional instruments with modern pop, which could help keep this heritage alive for the next generation.
So sánh với câu trả lời band 5.5 (câu 1)
I think music is important because it make people happy. When people sad, they listen music and they feel better. Also music is used in party.
Ý đúng nhưng chỉ dừng ở một lý do, có lỗi chia động từ (it makes), thiếu động từ (when people are sad), thiếu giới từ (listen to music) và danh từ số ít không mạo từ (at parties). Bản band 7+ chia rõ hai lý do với First / Second và có ví dụ cụ thể (đám cưới, lễ hội, trận bóng).
Phân tích bài mẫu theo 4 tiêu chí chấm
- Fluency and Coherence: mỗi câu trả lời có trình tự rõ (quan điểm → lý do → ví dụ). Từ nối đa dạng nhưng tự nhiên: That said, On the positive side, On the other hand, Looking back.
- Lexical Resource: dùng cụm tự nhiên của văn nói (be really into, put on some music, kind of regret it) và từ chính xác theo chủ đề (streaming platforms, record label, mainstream, heritage).
- Grammatical Range and Accuracy: kết hợp hiện tại hoàn thành (I’ve got into the habit of…), so sánh quá khứ – hiện tại (whereas now…), mệnh đề quan hệ (which could help…) và động từ khuyết thiếu để nói dè dặt (may, could, arguably).
- Pronunciation: khi luyện nói bài mẫu, chú ý âm cuối của streams, skipped, instruments, trọng âm ACoustic, inSTRUmental, HERitage, và nhấn mạnh từ mang nghĩa chính trong câu (I DID, actually).
